What is ENL?
What does ENL stand for?
ENL support (English as a New Language) is an additional school service to help your children succeed in the grade-level classroom. The ENL teacher works with classroom teachers to teach your children English language skills, cultural awareness and learning strategies.
The ENL Classes are usually specialized small group lessons within the ENL classroom. There are generally four to six students in the group. We have specialized English lessons and activities for about 30 minutes each time we meet.
Another way to support our English language learners is through in-class support. The ENL teacher goes into the grade-level classroom and assists with classroom learning.
